ONCE UPON
A POP-UP
A village of cardboard, fabric, and wood, brought to life through the pretense of fashion.
On May 15th, 2025, a pop-up took place at Calle de Arganzuela 11, Madrid 28005 hosted by Mexican clothing brands Banzo by Camila Banzo and Costaiia by Patricia Maria Pietri. The installation, fabricated in just two days, was constructed from recycled cardboard, repurposed wood, and reclaimed fabrics, forming a temporary village that served as both exhibition space and event setting.
Designed and executed by Mireya Fabregas, Juancho Mesa, Camila Banzo, and Patricia Maria Pietri, the installation centered on a staged wedding ceremony as the focal point of the event. The village was conceptually and physically structured around this ritual, combining fashion, spatial design, and performance into a vibrant, site-specific encounter.
